Magnum Rouge Pommard Rougeot Clos des Roses Domaine Rougeot 2022

This Magnum of Pommard "Clos des Roses" 2022 from Domaine Rougeot is a rare and confidential cuvée, originating from a micro-plot of Meursault classified in the Pommard AOC appellation. This 100% Pinot Noir, organically vinified with no added sulfites, embodies all the nobility and intensity of the Pommard terroir, while maintaining the elegant natural style characteristic of Pierre-Henri Rougeot.

A secret parcel in the heart of Meursault

The Clos des Roses is a small family-owned enclosed vineyard located in the town of Meursault, on the border of Pommard. Benefiting from a deep clay-limestone soil and a beautiful exposure, this confidential lieu-dit gives birth to a powerful yet balanced wine, designed for aging.

Cultivated in certified organic agriculture, the vines are harvested manually at full maturity. The winemaking process is natural: indigenous yeasts, no additives, no added sulfur, no filtration or fining.

A great natural, deep and refined red wine

The 2022 vintage reveals a dark and shiny robe, an intense nose of ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), sweet spices, licorice, and undergrowth. On the palate, the wine is ample, structured, with tight yet velvety tannins, and a persistent finish on fruit and freshness.

Magnum size: enhanced power and aging potential

This Magnum (1.5L) of natural Pommard is intended for enthusiasts of deep and lively red wines, to be served with a ribeye steak, a game stew, or a mushroom risotto. Its aging potential is significant, and its bottle evolution promises years of enjoyment.
