Magnum Crémant de Bourgogne Picamelot Blanc de Blancs Brut Cuvée Jean-Baptiste Chautard 2015
A vintage like a great champagne!
The Picamelot house is one of the great names of Crémant in Burgundy, contributing largely to the current craze for Crémant de Bourgogne. Founded in Rully in 1926, the house has kept its independence and its family character, headed by Philippe Chautard, grandson of the creators. Long before the creation of the Crémant de Bourgogne appellation in 1975, Picamelot distinguished itself in France and abroad, by the quality of its sparkling wines. It embodies the high-end Burgundian crémant and made according to the champagne method. Rully is the bastion par excellence of Crémant, the grapes can draw a natural acidity necessary for any great crémant. Then comes the know-how of the house, which by buying grapes or via its own plots, offers each year crémants with a fine and elegant bubble, in raw or extra brut. Nowadays the Picamelot house retains its prestigious image, its crémants being exported all over the world and on the most beautiful gastronomic tables.
