Domaine Serol

Domaine Serol

For many years, Domaine Sérol has been sublimating the Gamay Saint-Romain grape variety and their favorite terroir, the Côte Roannaise. Stéphane and his wife Carine took over the estate in 1996 and since then the wines have continued to be praised by sensitive amateurs for excellent value for money as they are found every year at Domaine Sérol.
The couple exploits magnificent terroirs in Côte Roannaise, on the foothills of the Massif Central, granite soils perched at an altitude of 400m. A very qualitative viticulture is carried out by the Serol family. The entire estate is certified biodynamic, the harvest is manual and the aging is done in concrete vats or oak barrels, for at least 6 months. Yields are limited and the wines always display profiles of exemplary aromatic purity. We are far from the agreed clichés of Gamay. The juices are vibrant, crunchy, pure and highly digestible. Infusions and coulis of red fruits that lack neither structure nor balance. A natural freshness emanates from it. The Domaine Sérol strives, despite the vagaries of the weather and the high demand for their wines, to practice low prices. We are fans of this field and rightly so!
