Domaine Serol

Domaine Serol

The Sérol estate has been sublimating the gamay saint-romain grape and their preferred terroir, the Côte Roannaise, for many years. Stéphane and his wife Carine took over the estate in 1996, and since then the wines have been constantly praised by enthusiasts sensitive to excellent value for money, as can be found every year at the Sérol estate.
The couple cultivates magnificent terroirs in the Côte Roannaise, on the foothills of the Massif Central, with granitic soils perched at 400m altitude. The Sérol family conducts very high-quality viticulture there. The entire estate is biodynamically certified, the harvest is manual, and the aging is done in concrete tanks or oak barrels, for at least 6 months. Yields are limited, and the wines always display profiles of exemplary aromatic purity. We are far from the usual clichés of Gamay here. The juices are vibrant, crunchy, pure, and highly digestible. Infusions and coulis of red fruits that have both structure and balance. A natural freshness emanates from them. Despite the climatic hazards and the high demand for their wines, the Sérol estate strives to maintain gentle prices. We are fans of this estate, and for good reason!
