The de Sousa family has been established in the prestigious Côte des Blancs for 3 generations.
It exploits the most beautiful terroirs classified Grand Cru such as Avize, Cramant, Oger and Mesnil/Oger.
On these chalky soils, the patriarch Erick de Sousa chose to work in organic dice 1999, obtaining organic certification in 2010 and biodynamic in 2013. For the De Sousa, the symbiosis is perfect between these high-quality terroirs, a vineyard largely made of old vines over 50 years old and these organic practices respectful of the environment. In the cellar, the family brings its paw to the cuvées thanks to a careful aging in oak barrels. De Souza champagnes here have a lot of sap, elegance and underlying minerality, all patinated and complicated by this subtle ageing. The champagne magnums of the de Sousa family available on this site come directly from the estate.
