Château Puech-Haut

Château Puech-Haut

The history of the château puech-haut is intimately linked to that of its founder, Gérard Bru. A man who, after a successful career as an industrialist, decided to leave everything to reconnect with his roots: The lands of Languedoc. This region in southern France was already steeped in history for Gérard. It was on these lands that he was introduced to the vineyard by his grandfather. And it was also here that his father worked as intendant of the École nationale supérieure d'agronomie in Montpellier. It is there, on what was at the time only scrubland and wild olive grove, that he built his dream.

From a plot of raw land, he knew how to sublimate what the land had to offer.

Nestled between the shores of the Mediterranean and the foothills of the Cevennes, the estate covers more than one hundred and fifty hectares. The castle was built on solid foundations: an ideal climate, passionate men and a land covered with rolled pebbles.

Through wine, it is also personalities and the richness of an entire terroir that express and share. Thus the wines of the château puech-haut are all steeped in history and endowed with a singular identity with a strong character.

The priority of the winegrower team composing the estate is to make every effort to ensure that production becomes certified organic.
