Domaine Henri et Gilles Buisson

Domaine Henri et Gilles Buisson

Domaine Henri et Gilles Buisson was, like Alain Gras, one of the driving forces behind the Saint-Romain appellation, a village long set aside for the benefit of its more prestigious neighbours (Meursault, Puligny, Chassagne...), while on the one hand it is one of the most beautiful corners of Burgundy wine, perched at altitude with breathtaking views of the Côte Vineuse, and on the other hand for its unique and diversified terroirs. This lack of recognition is now largely filled thanks to the work undertaken by winegrowers such as Franck and Frédérick Buisson. By taking over the estate in 2008 following their father Gilles, they ensure in the wake of the organic certification then biodynamic in 2018 (biodyvin). The wines here have never been so precise, with the whole range consistent across the estate's 20 hectares. The wines are fresh, pure, chiseled and with the right balance in grape maturity, aging in barrels and intervention limited to the maximum (little sulfur it goes without saying). An unmissable address!
