Domaine Bouchard Père & Fils

Domaine Bouchard Père & Fils

The house Bouchard Père & Fils is an emblematic estate of Beaune, established for 3 centuries and exploiting highly qualitative plots, mainly in Côte de Beaune.
The Enfant Jésus vine is Bouchard's iconic wine, due to its symbolic history and its very high quality.
The name "Vine of the Child Jesus" refers to a historical anecdote. It is said that Marguerite du Saint-Sacrement, Carmelite founder of the Servants of the Family of the Holy Child Jesus, predicted the birth of King Louis XIV of France while her mother Anne of Austria was barren.
At the birth of the future Sun King, this exceptional vineyard belonging to the Carmelites took the name of "Vine of the Child Jesus" in tribute to the Sun King.
In 1791, during the sale of the national assets, Maison Bouchard Père & Fils acquired the plot, located in the heart of the 32 hectares of the Beaune Grèves appellation. She still has the exclusivity today. The magnums of Bouchard Père & fils presented on this site come directly from the estate.
