An Alsatian nugget! In 1871, Jean Dirler settled in the small village of Bergholtz to found his estate, 25 km south of Colmar. Nowadays, the estate is still run by the family, namely Jean Dirler, 5th generation. The family started with biodynamics in 1998, converting the 9h of the estate, which increased in size in 2000 following Didier's marriage to Ludivine of Domaine Hell-Cadé. From there was born the domaine dirler-cade, or 18ha. The entire production is certified Organic and Biodynamic Agriculture (Biodyvin). The family strives to produce wines with a strong personality, respecting each terroir and with the minimum possible inputs.
