Champagne Pertois Moriset

Champagne Pertois Moriset

Located in Le Mesnil sur Oger, in the heart of the prestigious Côte des Blancs, this family estate has always been independent, selecting its grapes with the same rigor from generation to generation. The history of the house begins with the marriage of Yves Pertois and Janine Moriset, both from Champagne winemaking families. It is therefore quite natural that in 1951, this passionate couple decided to found their own estate: Pertois-Moriset, with the culmination of the family cradle, the Côte des Blancs. Today, Domaine Pertois-Moriset is brilliantly managed by their granddaughter, Cécile, and her husband Vincent. The estate has gained a strong reputation over the last ten years and reaches 21 ha spread over two qualitative terroirs: the Côte des Blancs and the Sézannais hillside. The approach is organic and the soils are worked. The house has gained in scope with the construction in 2009 of a new improved winery, allowing a sharp control of fermentations and aging on fine lees. The bottles then remain on lattes for at least 20 months, and much longer for vintage champagnes. Pertois-Moriset champagnes display a lot of flavor, creaminess and notes of citrus, white fruit and a soupcon of toasted bread, on bright and persistent bubbles. A very nice discovery for a superb value for money.
