Respect for Terroirs for the Revival niche - 44 and 71. With just two figures, one can better understand the mystery of Burgundian terroirs. The Domaine de la Vougeraie is 44 hectares for 71 plots spread out over "La Côte".
Since its recent creation by the Boisset family in 1999, it has quickly established itself among the elite Burgundian domains.
After the departure of its winemaker in 2017, its commercial manager, Sylvie Poillot, a lioness born in 1965, direct like her zodiac sign, became the new general manager of the domain. Having gone through the Poligny hotel school, she accumulated professional experiences in British and New York soil before returning to Paris where she became a sommelier at the Bristol. These ten years have given her a taste for excellence and the codes of luxury. For her, La Vougeraie "is finesse". Nevertheless, influenced by Henri and Thomas, her farming managers, she gets her hands in the soil and follows the plant to its roots. Biodynamics is an integral part of her wine vision. Camille and Pierre continue this work in the cellar. "My favorite wine is never the same..." she says "... it changes according to the years..." Did you say revival? Cultivation Practices The soils are worked. Vineyard practices for low yields and concentrated grapes. Vinification & Aging Vibrating sorting table, vertical press, everything is designed to sublimate the grape. Meticulous care up to bottling to the rhythm of the lunar calendar.
