Tenuta di Carleone is a beautiful estate located in the heart of Tuscany, between Siena and Florence. It is here, in the heart of the Chianti Classico appellation (the historic heart of Chianti wines) that Austrian entrepreneur Karl Egger decided to create his own winery in 2012, with the help of a passionate winemaker, Sean O'Callaghan. The vineyard of about twenty hectares is planted largely with Sangiovese grape variety, all cultivated in organic and biodynamic practice. The logic of the estate is to work the vines and the soils to obtain grapes in the perfect state of health, in order to limit as much as possible the interventions in the winery. The wines display a lot of freshness and aromatic purity. The tannins are always of great finesse, very far from the standards of Chianti which are displayed rather on firm tannins. The wines are velvety, digestible and very greedy, a real favorite!
