Domaine Bachey-Legros

Domaine Bachey-Legros

The Domaine Bachey-Legros, located in the heart of Santenay, is a historic and iconic pillar of the Côte de Beaune. Since the 19th century, six generations of the Bachey-Legros family have succeeded each other in promoting the wines of this prestigious appellation, renowned for both its Chardonnays and its Pinot Noirs.

Today, Samuel and Lenaic, representatives of the sixth generation, skillfully and passionately lead the estate. They pay special attention to the very old vines, some dating back to 1935 to 1955, and even up to 100 years old, covering an exceptional heritage of 18 hectares. Cultivated without chemical products, these vines naturally produce low yields, resulting in concentrated and aromatic wines.

In the cellar, extractions are limited, and the aging process follows Burgundian traditions with maturation in oak barrels for at least 12 months. The red wines stand out with aromas of red fruits, peony, and blackcurrant, while the white wines reveal notes of hazelnut, butter, almond, lemon, and golden apple.

In addition to Santenay, the estate also operates vineyards in Chassagne-Montrachet and Maranges, thus continuing its winemaking heritage with excellence.
