Domaine Aurélien Febvre

Domaine Aurélien Febvre

Aurélien Febvre, an oenologist by profession, has undertaken the splendid project of rehabilitating a centuries-old vineyard, that of Auxois, west of Dijon.
A vineyard that already existed during the time of the Court of Versailles. Following wars, phylloxera, and rural exodus, this vineyard was severely affected and fell into oblivion in the 19th century.
Thanks to the dedication of a few winemakers, Aurélien Febvre obtained in 1996 the Protected Geographical Indication which gave rebirth to the Côteaux de l'Auxois. Aurélien Febvre operates 2 hectares of old vines, in organic farming. His wines are expressive and harmonious, and his aging process is unique, using sandstone jars to avoid influencing the aromatic profile of his wines and to preserve freshness and fruitiness. The magnums of wine from the Aurélien Febvre estate come directly from the estate.
