Champagne Pierre Legras

Champagne Pierre Legras

At the origin, there is this man: Pierre Legras, contemporary of Louis XIV and Dom Pérignon. His parents, Laurent and Agathe, give birth to him in 1662 in Chouilly, today a Grand Cru village in the Côte des Blancs. The first steps of Champagne, a time when the Court of the Sun King delights in this atypical and extraordinary wine, which the youth adore. The birth of Pierre Legras marks the beginning of a great lineage of winemakers. Eleven generations have followed one another for nearly four hundred years. After training at the Avize wine school and earning a National Diploma in Oenology, Vincent created the Champagne Pierre Legras brand in 2002, as a tribute to his ancestor. With the assistance of his father, he developed the estate over the years. The domain grew from 5 to over 10 hectares. He gradually invested in equipment: presses, vats, vines... all necessary commitments to offer wines that live up to his ambitions. Today, the distinctive style of Pierre Legras cuvées transcends borders.
