Champagne Moussé Fils: the elegance of Meunier in the Marne Valley
Since 1923, Maison Moussé Fils embodies Champagne excellence in the heart of the Marne Valley, in the village of Cuisles. As heirs to a line of winemakers dating back to 1629, the Moussé family has made Pinot Meunier their signature, boldly showcasing this grape variety with authenticity and consistency.
An exceptional and committed terroir
The estate covers 16 hectares spread across the villages of Cuisles, Jonquery, Châtillon-sur-Marne, and Olizy, all located on the same south-facing slope. The unique soil of Cuisles, rich in green clay (illite), gives the house's cuvées a distinctive expression: intensity, freshness, and minerality.
Maison Moussé Fils practices respectful viticulture: synthetic pesticide-free since 2014, treatments based on essential oils, use of indigenous yeasts, and limited use of inputs. An overall eco-responsible approach reinforced by the use of lightweight bottles, paper caps, and a continuous commitment to reduce its carbon footprint.
Iconic cuvées
L'Or d'Eugène: an iconic cuvée in a perpetual blend of Meunier (80%) and Pinot Noir (20%), representing the style and heritage of the house.
Terre d'Illite: a tribute to the terroir of Cuisles, vinified in a single plot to enhance the mineral richness of the green clay.
Les Vignes de mon Village: 100% Meunier exclusively from Cuisles, vinified without dosage, pure and precise.
Spécial Club Les Fortes Terres: the first 100% Meunier cuvée admitted to the prestigious Club Trésors de Champagne, revealing remarkable depth and finesse.
A family house, looking towards the future
Now led by Cédric Moussé, the house combines traditional craftsmanship and innovation in a constant quest for purity, sincerity, and expressiveness. Each bottle is the expression of a strong family commitment and a deep respect for life and the Champagne terroir.
