Champagne Jacquesson

Champagne Jacquesson

Based in Dizy in the Marne valley, This prestigious house, run by the Chiquet brothers, needs no introduction and has maintained a family spirit despite the power of its brand. Or rather the power of its champagnes, because here there is no brand, the production is kept modest, the cuvées are intended for knowledgeable connoisseurs, and distribution is focused on fine dining establishments. Also, there is no exclusive association with a specific region, as the house is located between the Côte des Blancs and the Marne valley, owning a grand cru in Ay and two premier crus in Hautvillers and Dizy. The Jacquesson signature is primarily a well-claimed positioning by the Chiquet brothers, that of producing unique style parcel cuvées. There is no non-vintage Brut at Jacquesson, as every year the base cuvée is given a new number, the "700" cuvée made from first press juice from grapes harvested in grand cru and premier cru vineyards, supplemented by reserve wines. This base is aged for five years, resulting in a cuvée with a strong personality (half chardonnay, the rest meunier/pinot noir). The rest of the range (low production volume) is based on parcel cuvées and late disgorgements. An ode to time for a refined and balanced style, ultimately timeless.
