Champagne Jacquesson

Champagne Jacquesson

Based in Dizy in the Marne Valley, we no longer present this prestigious house run by the Chiquet brothers and which has kept a family soul despite the power of its brand. Or rather the power of its champagnes, because here there is no brand, the volumes are modest, the cuvées are intended for informed connoisseurs and the distribution focused on beautiful restoration. Here no longer belongs to a chapel, because the house straddles the Côte des Blancs and the Marne Valley, owning a grand cru on Ay and two premiers crus on Hautvillers and Dizy. The Jacquesson paw is above all a positioning well claimed by the Chiquet brothers, that of producing parcel cuvées with a unique style. The Brut sans année does not exist at Jacquesson, because every year the basic cuvée takes a new number, the cuvée "700" fruit of press juice of grapes harvested on grand cru and premier, completed by reserve wines. To this base is added five years of aging and we obtain a cuvée with a strong personality (half Chardonnay, then the rest meunier / Pinot Noir). The rest of the range (confidential in volume) is based on plot cuvées and late disgorging. The praise of time for a racy and balanced style, in short timeless.
