The queen of liqueurs was born in 1605 when les pères chartreux, very good herbalists, received from the Duke of Estrées a manuscript mentioning the formula of an Elixir of long life.
Les Pères Chartreux refine this recipe and develop the current recipe, under the name of health liqueur. Liquors are still produced today in the department of Isère. Today the range is very diverse, even if each cuvée is infused with the Chartreuse paw.
The Green Charterhouse has in no way lost its vegetal intensity and its elixir side of youth as its natural freshness invigorates you. While the Chartreuse jaune, softer, focuses on delicate notes of tangy sweets, suze, citrus and bergamot.
Beyond that, les pères chartreux have developed subtle green/yellow blends that have already entered the customs, such as the Chartreuse MOF cuvée, all in power, and the centenary Liqueur, all in aromatic complexity. Great art preserved or even increased tenfold!
