Domaine Tempier

Domaine Tempier

The Domaine Tempier is respectful and faithful to nature.
The earth is listened to, the interventions are made to the rhythms of the seasons and the lunar calendar.
This fidelity to the pioneering spirit continues today, both in the vineyards and in the cellar.
Around Jean-Philippe, seven people roam the vineyards of the estate, to work the soil mechanically and manually or to maintain the walls of the terraces.
The pruning of the vines as well as the harvest are carried out by hand, depending on the moon. Sheep act as weedkillers and bring life to the soil.

On the treatment side, "homemade" herbal teas are sprayed in homeopathic doses, to strengthen the vine, invigorate the soil and limit the development of parasites. Sulfur is used against powdery mildew and Bordeaux mixture against late blight.

Worms, springtails, ladybugs, insects of all kinds... Biodiversity is present in the soils of the estate.
