Domaine Maréchal Catherine et Jean Claude

Domaine Maréchal Catherine et Jean Claude

Everyone will agree that Catherine and Claude Maréchal are above all winegrower-farmers of unparalleled kindness and modesty. Based in Bligny les Beaune since 1981, the inseparable couple Claude-Catherine runs the domain in a family-oriented way, with their son Antoine naturally set to take over the domain in the years to come. Here, the key words are common sense farming, soil cultivation (plowing for over 20 years), banning synthetic products, and minimal intervention in the cellar. The wines have a "classic" profile in the best sense of the term: here, there is no yielding to trends or stylistic effects. The reds are destemmed and fermented with indigenous yeasts before spending two winters in the cellar for the crus. The whites are gently pressed and also aged in oak barrels. We love this endearing winemaking couple who are just like their wine: approachable, flavorful without being flashy, and above all wines that exude joy and common sense.
