Coming from a family of winegrowers, Florent Thinon was rocked from childhood to the rhythm of the harvest and the work of the vineyard, helping his uncle on the farm of Villemont, a small village in the Puy-de-Dôme. Florent armed himself with a solid technical background by first studying in Beaune and then by doing many internships in renowned fields, in Burgundy and Beaujolais. As soon as he returned to the estate, he switched the estate to organic and worked to magnify Gamay St Romain, the flagship grape variety of the Côte Roannaise. A region long ignored and reborn with the work of sharp winemaker such as Florent Thinon. Its 5ha of vines are cultivated with care for the benefit of 4 AOP Côte Roannaise (Gamay St Romain) and IGP Urgé (Chenin sec) vintages. The wines are fine, elegant and structured. A real favorite for this young rising star, all at superb q/p ratios!
