Coming from a family of winemakers, Florent Thinon was immersed in the rhythm of the grape harvest and vineyard work from childhood, helping his uncle on the Villemont estate, a small village in Puy-de-Dôme. Florent equipped himself with a solid technical background by studying first in Beaune and then by completing numerous internships in renowned wineries in Burgundy and Beaujolais. Upon his return to the estate, he transitioned it to organic farming and set out to enhance the gamay st romain, the flagship grape variety of the Côte Roannaise. A region long overlooked, it is now experiencing a revival thanks to skilled winemakers like Florent Thinon. His 5 hectares of vineyards are carefully cultivated, producing 4 AOP Côte Roannaise cuvées (gamay st romain) and IGP Urgé (dry Chenin). The wines are refined, elegant, and structured. A true favorite for this young rising star, all at superb value for money!
