Domaine Pierre Morey

Domaine Pierre Morey

The Domaine Pierre Morey is made up of a family that we particularly love for its philosophy and vision of wine. The Morey family is originally from Chassagne. Pierre Morey joined the estate in the early 1970s. At the same time, he cultivated vines on behalf of Comte Lafon, which allowed him to vinify very prestigious terroirs such as Montrachet. In 1988, with his vast experience and reputation as an outstanding winemaker, Pierre Morey was appointed general manager of Domaine Leflaive, a position he held until his retirement in 2008. In the meantime, he continued to run his own (small) Domaine Pierre Morey, before his daughter took over everything in the late 90s. A magnificent duo that has brought the Domaine to the top of Meursault. The vines have been cultivated organically since 1993 and biodynamically since 1998 (one of the first in Burgundy). The magnums of wine from Domaine Pierre Morey featured on this site are directly from the estate.
