Domaine Barmes Buecher

Domaine Barmes Buecher

The Barmès domain was founded in 1985 by the union of Geneviève Buecher (maiden name) and François Barmès.
They themselves bottle the wines and start exporting their productions. In 1998, the entire Barmès Buecher domain is converted to biodynamic farming.
The year 2011 marks a turning point for the family, François Barmès dies in a cycling accident. This event involves Maxime, Sophie's brother, more in the management of the family estate. Supported at the estate by his mother Geneviève and his sister Sophie, he confirms and continues the work put in place for almost thirty years to maintain the quality of the wines at the highest level.
Rigorous work in the vineyard, in biodynamics, and good cellar management make this domain one of the most serious in the region.
The latest vintages are exemplary: regardless of the grape variety, the wines have gained in precision and the grand crus belong to the select circle of great wines, with exceptional aging potential, capable of improving over several days.
In a frank and spontaneous style, the remarkable quality of the wines from the estate this year leads to the attainment of the third star. Congratulations! RVF Green Guide 2022
