Domaine Barmes Buecher

Domaine Barmes Buecher

Domaine Barmès was founded in 1985 by the union of Geneviève Buecher (maiden name) and François Barmès .
They do the bottling themselves and start exporting their productions. In 1998, the entire Barmès Buecher estate was converted to biodynamic cultivation.
The year 2011 marks a turning point for the family, François Barmès dies of a bicycle accident. This event further involved Maxime, Sophie's brother, in the management of the family estate. Supported at the estate by his mother Geneviève and his sister Sophie, he confirms and continues the work put in place for nearly thirty years to maintain the quality of the wines at the highest level.
Rigorous work in the vineyard, biodynamically, and a good follow-up in the cellar make this estate one of the most serious in the region.
The last vintages are exemplary: whatever the grape variety, the wines have gained in precision and the grands crus belong to the restricted circle of great wines, with exceptional air resistance, capable of improving over several days.
In a frank and spontaneous style, the formidable quality of the estate's wines allows this year the accession to the third star. Congratulations! RVF Green Guide 2022
