The Domaine Felettig, based in the prestigious village of Chambolle-Musigny, was born in the mid-70s by the union of Henri (son of Italian immigrants) and a daughter of Chambolle, owner of vineyards.
The domaine felettig is therefore relatively recent and its rise is nevertheless increasing every year, via word of mouth from sharp purists. When Henri retired in 2003, his children Christine and Gilbert took up the torch.
Since then, the Domaine has grown in notoriety thanks to Gilbert's stubborn and passionate work, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. The wines have never been so good. The cuvées from the 13 ha of the Domaine Felettig benefit from Gilbert's ability to always experiment, progress and question himself. Organic certification is underway. Gilbert's credo: no great wines without great grapes. The work in the vineyard has always been very sharp and remarkably mastery. At the cellar the progress has been considerable: the estate has invested in high-quality equipment (vertical press, renewal of the barrel park, new fermentation tanks with temperature control...). The wines are infused, velvety, deep and of a certain balance. The work that has been carried out on the choice of barrels and coopers (the most likely to stick to the style of each cuvée) is remarkable. We were amazed by the last vintages, especially since Gilbert is now supported by his daughter Pauline, who inherited her father's talent.
