Domaine Grégoire Hoppenot

Grégoire Hoppenot is one of our recent favorites in Beaujolais! A rapid success (discovery of the year 2021 by La Revue du Vin de France) that is far from being a coincidence, as Grégoire Hoppenot has proven himself with big names as an oenologist (Chermette, Chapoutier...). Described by William Kelley (Robert Parker) as one of the most interesting winemakers of the new Beaujolais scene, it's because his wines already demonstrate a great mastery of style.

Grégoire Hoppenot now cultivates 9ha of vineyards, mainly the best crus in the village of Fleurie. Grégoire practices organic viticulture and minimizes the use of sulfur while showing talent in producing stable wines with faultless aromatic precision. The grapes are vinified with whole clusters, in line with Beaujolais traditions. The wines display a velvety and silky texture, with natural charm. A real breath of fresh air in Beaujolais!
