Domaine Jean Tardy & Fils

Domaine Jean Tardy & Fils

Originally the Tardy family is settled in Flagey-Echezeaux, a few kms from Vosne-Romanée. Jean Tardy's father was a sharecropper of the Etienne Camuzet estate. Jean from 1981 focuses on his own estate and gradually expands it. It was in 2003 that his son Guillaume settled at the head of the Domaine Jean Tardy & Fils winery, benefiting from very beautiful terroirs (Echezeaux, Chambolle-Musigny les Athets, Vosne Romanée...). Viticulture is organic (not certified) with tillage (ploughing) and organic amendment. Guillaume wishes above all to harvest grapes in a healthy state and at perfect maturity, not hesitating to disbud and conduct green harvests to concentrate aromas and sugars in the preserved grapes. In the cellar the grapes are destemmed, sorted and then aged for at least 16 months (two winters) in oak barrels. The wines deliver an aromatic profile with a very pure fruit, combining the finesse and elegance of Pinot Noir while respecting the expression of each terroir without excessive handling. The magnums of Domaine Tardy wines presented on this site come directly from the estate.
