Domaine Les Aurelles

Domaine Les Aurelles

Born in 1995 from the collaboration of two former winemakers in Bordeaux (Karl Manguin de Latour and Basile Saint Germain de Haut Brion), the Domaine Les Aurelles has become over time one of the most famous estates in Languedoc. An obvious one knows the titanic work carried out with the greatest of requirements by Basile Saint Germain and his wife Caroline.

Based in Caux near Pezenac (Languedoc), the estate cultivates 15 ha of vines spread over 5 plots. The grape varieties are classic of the region: Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Carignan for the reds, Rousanne, Clairette, Terret Blanc and Ugni Blanc for the whites. As a primary requirement, yields drastically limited to 25 h / ha and no chemicals used (without fertilizers, weed killers or pesticides) and this since the beginning. The wines see only a few oak barrels and the aging is long. The wines are not filtered and are marketed only when ready to deliver the best. Everything here is harmony, elegance and aromatic subtlety, great art!
