Marcel Deiss founded the estate in 1947, but its reputation owes much to Jean-Michel, his grandson, who set up from the beginning (40 years ago) a viticulture of place, of terroirs, where many put the grape variety forward. His vision will be landmark and since then many winegrowers have followed his reflection. As a result, the estate strives to bring to life on its plots a certain idea of viticulture through the planting of different grape varieties on a single plot, in order to draw all the diversity and richness of its terroir. All grown biodynamically. The wines are complex and aromatic, they never do in exuberance or austerity, everything is in balance. Marcel Deiss, with his friend Jacky Rigaud, highlights geo-sensory tasting, the one that through the texture and the mouthfeel of the wine, allows to visualize a terroir, a soil and a climate as a whole.
