An essential reference from the Southern Rhône, the 2022 Cuvee Chaupin from Domaine de la Janasse in magnum format embodies all the nobility of Grenache on the coolest terroirs of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Made from 100% Grenache, this cuvée comes from old vines, some of which were planted in 1912, cultivated on sandy soils that promote finesse and elegance.

This pure Grenache is vinified with precision, then aged in large oak casks and demi-muids to preserve freshness and enhance the terroir's identity. The 2022 vintage, sunny and harmonious, gives birth to a rich, deep, and structured wine, yet always of great purity. The deep purple robe announces a wine of intensity. The nose reveals complex aromas of black cherry, candied raspberry, violet, sweet spices, and cocoa. On the palate, the texture is ample, the tannins silky, the finish long, fresh, and delicately mineral. A cuvée of great style, full of subtlety.

This magnum will pair perfectly with roast pigeon, veal chop with chanterelle mushrooms, rack of lamb, or a selection of aged cheeses. Ideal for refined meals or special occasions.
