Magnum Apricot du Roulot

Jean-Marc Roulot, acclaimed winemaker from Meursault whose wines are highly sought after worldwide, embarked on rehabilitating the family's old still about ten years ago. A craft of winemaker-distiller that has always been part of the Roulot family... Guy, Jean-Marc's father, was already renowned for his eaux-de-vie and marc. Jean-Marc reintroduced the maceration and distillation of fruits, including the famous Apricot du Roulot which his father had carefully kept the recipe for without commercializing it. This has now been done with his son, much to our delight!

This Magnum of Apricot du Roulot is made from ripe apricots from the Rhône Valley (from the Combier family, to name them). The apricots are pitted and then infused in neutral spirits. After a few months, the resulting infusion is diluted with water and sugar. It's important to note that this is not just any apricot liqueur. The fruit is not distilled, the alcohol content is discreet at a liqueur level (25 degrees), and the sugar addition is low (170 gms/L compared to 200 to 250 gms in traditional liqueurs). The fruit is vibrant and expressive with a tangy touch that brings a lot of freshness to the apricot. A purity of fruit that makes it a very digestible and even addictive liqueur!

For what occasion? Enjoy it with a dessert (sorbet) or as a digestif for a sweet ending!

Tres tres bon , comme dirait la télé , par contre la dernière commande j’avais pris le citron ou j’ai été un peu deçu ( par rapport a l’abricot qui est exceptionnel )
