Distillerie Roque Louis

Louis Roque embodies the expertise of French craftsmanship and a name that resonates within the best French distilleries, one of the last to magnify an ancestral spirit: Plum brandy. Until the end of the 19th century, the Roque family members perpetuated the tradition of passing down knowledge from father to son within the family.

In 1905, the third generation of Roques decided to officially launch their own distillery and make it their profession, in the heart of Souillac, in the Lot region. This region is located close to the birthplace of Armagnac and is known for its truffles, walnuts, and plums suitable for distillation.

Today, the Roque family continues to magnify the plum, carefully selecting different varieties to extract a whole range of aromatic magic. The process remains very artisanal: the plums are pitted and then naturally ferment. The distillation takes place in traditional copper stills before a long aging process in oak barrels.
