Magnum Vieille Prune Reserve Imperiale
This magnum of Vieille Prune Réserve Impériale from Louis Roque is the result of an ancestral tradition carried on by the Roque family for generations in Souillac, in the Lot region, known for its plums. The Roque family continues to exalt the plum, meticulously selecting different varieties to extract a magical blend of aromas.
The process remains very artisanal: the plums are pitted and then naturally fermented. Distillation takes place in traditional copper stills followed by a long aging process.
This Vieille Prune Réserve Impériale from Louis Roque has matured for 5 years in 400-liter oak barrels, with no added sugar, following the selection of the best plums from the estate. The palate is concentrated, intense, and powerful, yet not overly alcoholic. The fruit bursts with vibrant notes of prunes, plum, raisins, marzipan, Asian spices, nuts, and licorice... a true delight and a pure pleasure, born from a craftsmanship of over a century, all in a lovely magnum format.
A perfect gift idea!
