Jeroboam Vieille Prune de Souillac 42°
This Jeroboam of Vieille Prune de Souillac from Louis Roque is the result of an ancestral tradition perpetuated by the Roque family for generations, in Souillac in the Lot region, renowned for its plums. The Roque family continues to exalt the plum, carefully selecting different varieties to extract a whole range of magical aromas.
The process remains very artisanal: the plums are pitted and then naturally fermented. The distillation takes place in traditional copper stills before a long aging process. This Vieille Prune Réserve Impériale from Louis Roque has spent 5 years in a 400-liter oak barrel, without any added sugar, following the selection of the best plums from the house.
The palate is concentrated, intense, and powerful, but not excessively alcoholic. The fruit bursts with vibrant notes of prunes, plums, raisins, marzipan, Asian spices, nuts, and licorice... a true delight and a pure pleasure, the result of a craftsmanship of more than a century, all in an exceptional format (3 Liters - Jeroboam).
