The De Sousa family has been established in the prestigious Côte des Blancs for 3 generations. They cultivate the finest Grand Cru classified terroirs such as Avize, Cramant, Oger, and Mesnil/Oger. On these chalky soils, patriarch Erick de Sousa chose to work organically since 1999, obtaining organic certification in 2010 and biodynamic certification in 2013. The De Sousa family achieves a perfect symbiosis between these highly qualitative terroirs, a vineyard mostly composed of old vines over 50 years old, and environmentally respectful organic practices. In the cellar, the family adds its touch to the cuvées through careful oak barrel aging. The champagnes here display a lot of sap, elegance, and underlying minerality, all enhanced and complexified by this subtle aging process.
