Magnum of red wine Gevrey Chambertin Vieilles Vignes, Domaine Humbert Frères

The Humbert estate is located in the beautiful village of Gevrey-Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits. It is a family-owned estate managed by two brothers, Frédéric and Emmanuel, since 1989. They cultivate seven hectares of village appellations, premier crus, and a grand cru (Charmes-Chambertin). They produce pure, powerful, opulent wines resulting from long extraction. It is necessary to be patient and allow a few years of aging for the wines to fully reveal themselves.

This Magnum of Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes from Domaine Humbert Frères is a blend of the best parcels in Gevrey, the lower part of Estournelles and Aux Etelois (close to the grand cru Griotte-Chambertin). It is a wine of great power, rich, concentrated, with velvety tannins. Its woody notes in its youth will soften over the years to unveil a remarkable complexity.
