Magnum Champagne Blanc de Blancs, Delamotte

From Cramant to Mesnil-sur-Oger, passing through Avize and Oger, this is the terroir of the Côte des Blancs. Its location is one of the assets of the house. This chalky land, its flora, and its vineyards exposed on hillsides give the grapes their exceptional character and offer delicate and consistent champagnes for tasting. To claim this terroir, to draw out the best from it with total respect for the vine and the environment, that's the spirit of Delamotte.

This Magnum of Champagne Blanc de Blancs from Maison Delamotte is a mineral champagne whose chalky sensation is maintained through a blend and selection of reserve wines (up to 10%). This note is the very essence of the vineyard and the Chardonnay grape growing on a pure chalk soil. Its minerality is expressed even more as it aerates and reveals a complexity acquired from its lees. Its bouquet offers floral and citrus scents with a hint of ginger, and on the palate, final notes of biscuit and bread crust. Refreshing, airy, and balanced, Delamotte Blanc de Blancs is perfect as an aperitif and invites us to sit down at the table.

For what occasion? A friend of the sea, so it pairs well with crab, spider crab, langoustines, shrimp, and of course oysters!
