This magnum of Hautes Cote de Nuits red wine "Sous Mont" 2022 from Emmanuel Giboulot comes from a trendy appellation known for its excellent value for money and quality terroir, located on the western edge of the Côtes de Nuits at an altitude of 300-400m. This cuvée is produced from two plots located about 500 meters apart, one in Magny-Les-Villers and the other in Villers-La-Faye.
The name of the cuvée originates from the hill that overlooks the latter plot and is topped by a priory.
The grapes are partially destemmed (depending on the vintage) and naturally fermented with indigenous yeasts, without any additives. The aging in oak barrels takes place over 12 months, without any intervention. The result is a Pinot Noir with finesse and drinkability. The tannins are very fine and enveloped by notes of cranberry, red currant, raspberry, and blackcurrant. An ethereal wine that embodies the essence of Pinot Noir and enchants us with its delicate mouthfeel.
Volume: 1.5 liters
