The perfect blend of whisky rounded off by aging in Sherry casks
Cap A Pie Whisky Magnum 45%
Michel Couvreur was a pioneer in the aging of Scottish whiskies in France in original containers (Sherry, Port, yellow wine…). Based in Burgundy as a wine merchant, he established his aging cellar in Bouze-les-Beaune, in a highly humid cellar. Michel Couvreur's creed, who passed away in 2013, but whose tradition continues thanks to his family and his cellar master Jean-Arnaud Frantzen: "Whisky is the fertilization of a cereal distillate by oak wood intensely impregnated with the flavors of great wines."
This Cap a Pie Magnum from the Couvreur house is the perfect illustration: coming from a blend of various cereals (with a significant proportion of malt), it is made up of whiskies aged between 4 and 12 years in Sherry casks. With a light amber hue, it is a fine and delicate whisky, with nerve and roundness.
