The Magnum Ladoix 2022 from Domaine Chevalier Pères et Fils is a red wine from a confidential terroir at the foot of the famous Montagne de Corton. With only 75 hectares planted with Pinot Noir, Ladoix remains a discreet appellation but full of character, offering wines with an advantageous quality-price ratio. The Domaine Chevalier owns a significant portion of its vineyards there, cultivated on clay-limestone and marly soils, facing East and Southeast.

This cuvée, originating from 3.5 hectares of carefully selected plots, is vinified in a traditional manner in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, then aged for 14 months in oak barrels. The magnum format, in addition to its conviviality, ensures a better aging potential, allowing the wine to reveal all its complexity over time.

On tasting, the Ladoix 2022 reveals an intense ruby ​​color with violet reflections. Its nose harmoniously combines aromas of red and black fruits, enhanced with subtle woody notes. In the mouth, it offers a nice freshness, dominated by flavors of raspberry and blackberry, with a present but well-integrated woody note. The tannins, fleshy and silky, contribute to a pleasant and refined texture.

This wine pairs perfectly with dishes such as grilled rib eye, leg of lamb, or spit-roasted ham, promising warm and gourmet tasting moments.
