This magnum of Pernand Vergelesses 1er cru Ile des Vergelesses 2019 from Domaine Thénard comes from arguably the most beautiful plot in Pernand-Vergelesses, directly facing the hill of Corton and its grand crus. A fragrant, expressive, and aromatic wine, with notes of raspberries, cherries, and roses. The noble oak aging enhances the whole, bringing a velvety and chocolatey sensation. The tannins are perfectly integrated. A very nice wine to showcase the ancestral know-how of the domain.
