Distillerie Bughes

The Distillerie des Bughes is the first distillery established in Haute Loire (in 2014) to produce Whisky, while respecting both ancestral brewing and distillation processes, in order to obtain the best possible distillate. The pure and intense malt taste comes in part from the character of the water from Montagnac, an Auvergne hamlet at 1000m altitude. The main ingredient is a slightly peated malted barley, carefully selected, and to distill this, magnificent copper stills are used. The range has expanded to include a gin, rum, and even a true verbena from Haute Loire, the result of the Marco family's recipe (3 Michelin stars). All done entirely in an artisanal way and in the same place, thanks to precise distillation and slow artisanal brewing.
