Domaine De la Vougeraie

Domaine De la Vougeraie

Respecting the Terroirs for Revival niche - 44 and 71. With just two numbers, one better understands the mystery of Burgundian terroirs. The domaine de la Vougeraie covers 44 ha for 71 plots spread out on "La Côte".
Since its recent creation by the Boisset family in 1999, it quickly earned its place among the elite Burgundian domains.
After the departure of its winemaker in 2017, its commercial manager Sylvie Poillot, a lioness born in 1965, as frank as her zodiac sign, became the new general manager of the estate. Having attended the Poligny hotel school, she gained professional experience in the British Isles and New York before returning to Paris where she became a sommelier at the Bristol. These ten years have instilled in her a taste for excellence and the codes of luxury. For her, Vougeraie "is finesse". However, supported by Henri and Thomas, her chief growers, she gets her hands in the soil and follows the plant to its roots. Biodynamics is an integral part of her wine vision. Camille and Pierre continue this work in the cellar. "My favorite wine is never the same..." she says "... it changes according to the years..." Did you say revival? Cultivation Practices The soils are worked. Vineyard practices for low yields and concentrated grapes. Vinification & Aging Vibrating sorting table, vertical press, everything is designed to sublimate the grapes. Meticulous care up to bottling according to the lunar calendar.
