Magnum Champagne Rosé Philipponnat
The Magnum Rosé Philipponnat: Royale Réserve Rosé embodies the intensity, freshness, and elegance of the Philipponnat style. Made up of 75% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay, and 5% Pinot Meunier, it uses first-press grapes mainly from Grands and Premiers Crus. The reserve wines, managed in a solera system and aged in wood, make up 25 to 30% of the blend. Vinified in a traditional way, it avoids premature oxidation, with malolactic fermentation and aging in barrels to enhance aromatic complexity. The addition of 7 to 8% Pinot Noir from Mareuil-sur-Ay and Riceys brings a delicately pink color and a fruity taste. The moderate brut dosage (9 g/l) balances freshness, fruitiness, and vinous character. Aged on lees for three years at 12°C, it has a salmon pink color, a fine and creamy mousse. On the nose, aromas of red fruits and citrus blend together. On the palate, the attack is elegant, with a full texture and good acidity. Ideal as a fresh aperitif (9°C), it pairs wonderfully with fish, smoked meats, and desserts made with red berries, best enjoyed young for its fruitiness.
