This magnum of Brouilly "La Folie" 2023 from Pierre-Olivier Garcia is a must-have in the range of this talented young winemaker, whose wines are highly sought after today. Pierre-Olivier personally harvests this 100% Gamay with his team on a typical granite soil. Here, he selects perfectly ripe grapes from a renowned plot in Brouilly (named La Folie for its steep slope) after a severe and drastic sorting process, with the same care as his flagship cuvées (Corton, Nuits St Georges...).

The result is a highly drinkable Brouilly, with notes of red fruits (raspberry, red currant), spices, and a lovely smoky touch. The aging process is carried out in Burgundian oak barrels. This wine, however, is not lacking in structure and seriousness; it will age beautifully for around ten years. Perfectly ripe and carefully selected grapes are the reason behind the success of this new star from the Côte de Nuits!
