Jeroboam Champagne Billecart Salmon Vintage 2013
Billecart-Salmon, a large House with a human touch!
Mathusalem de Champagne Special Cuvée,
The Bollinger house Bollinger is one of the legendary names in Champagne, and rightfully so. It was founded in 1829 through the meeting of Athanase de Villermont, a landowner in Champagne, and a German wine merchant, Joseph Bollinger. In 1920, the house gained all its nobility and brand image thanks to Jacques Bollinger, who notably created the famous Bollinger RD cuvée. Located in Ay, the Bollinger house is one of the few that remains independent and family-owned. All the cuvées are of great quality, revealing a lot of personality with each vintage.
This Mathusalem de Champagne Special Cuvée from Bollinger is a blend of 60% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay, and 15% Meunier. The majority comes from over 85% of parcels classified as grand cru and premier cru, with a maturation time more than twice as long as the appellation rules! Therefore, it is a high-end and unique champagne, with a majority of reserve wines, some of which are kept in magnums for 5 to 15 years. This champagne impresses us with its subtle combination of structure, length, and liveliness; a fine bubble like velvet and pure aromas of pear, brioche, spices, fresh nuts... Enjoy it now or let it age in the cellar.
