The Magnum Saint-Romain Red "Sous le Château" 2022 from Domaine Germain is an elegant wine from the Côte de Beaune, made entirely from Pinot Noir grapes grown on clay-limestone soils. This wine has an intense ruby color with hints of black cherry. On the nose, it offers aromas of crunchy red berries that evolve over time into more complex notes of ripe fruits, spices, and smokiness. Aged in oak barrels (including one-third new barrels) for several months, it reveals fine and elegant tannins on the palate, perfect to pair with white meats, poultry in light sauce, or veal chops. It also pairs well with creamy cheeses like Brillat-Savarin or Cîteaux.

With a limited production of 6,000 bottles per year, this wine can be enjoyed young while also having aging potential of up to 10 years.
