This Balthazar of Le Puy Emilien 2019 from Château Le Puy is an exceptional format (12 liters!) that honors this unique and exceptional Domaine through its approach (biodynamic, mixed farming) in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyard. The Emilien cuvée is perfect for discovering the Le Puy style, predominantly Merlot and vinified without added sulfur. This Emilien 2019 opens with freshness and aromatic purity, with notes of raspberry, elderberry, cranberry, and sweet spices. The wine envelops the palate with great naturalness, without any excess of alcohol or tannins. Candied fruits join the dance at the end of the mouth, a devilishly digestible wine that makes us forget the often boring standards of Bordeaux!
