This Melchior of Le Puy Emilien 2019 from Château Le Puy is an exceptional format (18 Liters!) that honors this unique and exceptional Domaine through its approach (biodynamics, polyculture, zero additives in winemaking) in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards. The Emilien cuvée is perfect for discovering the Le Puy style, mostly Merlot and vinified without sulfur. This Emilien 2019 opens with freshness and aromatic purity, with notes of raspberry, elderberry, cranberry, and sweet spices. The wine envelops the palate with great naturalness, without any excess alcohol or tannins. Candied fruits join the dance on the finish, a devilishly digestible wine that makes us forget the often boring standards of Bordeaux!
